Celebrate two of Monotypes classic and contemporary typefaces in an impactful and memorable way.
One of the oldest and largest type foundries, Monotype hold an impressive history and type collection. Asked to promote this history with two type specimens for one of their classic and contemporary typefaces.
Bodoni, the classic typeface can be frequently found in high fashion and Metro Nova, a contemporary release redrawn from it’s original use in 1920’s newsprint. Looking to combine the two type specimens together but defining each by polarising the two typefaces with use of contrasting formats, image treatment, textures and paper stocks. Despite these differences, both specimens celebrated the characters in ways both unique and personal to each of the typefaces.
