Featuring a topographic map of Ditchling Beacon — a renown climb in the Brighton and Sussex area and cycling landmark to synonymous with Brighton and cycling, thanks to the BHF’s annual London to Brighton bike ride.
Everyone remembers their first time riding up the Beacon. From seeing it loom on the approach, to gasping for breath at the top…
Drawn from OS maps, the topography transitions from white to electric blue as the gradient ramps. The climb can be traced weaving along the front zipper on the jersey.
Designed and created for regulars of the weekly rideouts, a summer jersey quickly progressed to incorporate a full kit including, bibs & brighter gilet — for when the temperature and light dips. Continuing the topographic design into the winter kit, increased visibility larger areas of high-vis orange across the chest & shoulders. Reflective details worked into the garments.
